During the winter warm embrace of November, the 14th, 15th and 16th a joyful shout to life was taking place at the dragon’s mountain venue, our community was wearing their best clothes to welcome a dream come true: the official opening ceremony of Mexico’s eternal spring temple in the city of Cuernavaca in the state of Morelos.
Various personalities of different parts of the world came together in this holy place where their own light could shine strongly. Amongst them we can name 吴诚真方丈wù chéng zhén fāng zhàng, president of 湖北 hú běi’ daoist association and abbess of the 长春 cháng chūn temple of the city of 武汉 wǔ hàn; 邱景威方丈 qiū jǐng wēi fāng zhàng Hervé Louchouarn Trestard, president of the Mexican association for the development of Daoism and abbot of the 长春 cháng chūn temple of Mexico; Master Iván Elizondo Cortina, representative of governor Margarita González Saravia; 尹菊芳 yǐn jú fāng, president of the Daoist association of 江苏 jiāng sū and abbess of 茅山máo shān temple; 匡盛kuān shèng, general secretary of the Daoist association of china; Vincenzo Di leso, vicepresident of the world Daoist federation; Liu Hui Xing, member of the Huá xià Qián Qín founding, amongst others.
This dates were filled with memorable moments like: the ribbon cutting ceremony that opened the activities of the Daoist medicine practice 八仙堂 bā xiān tang, the eight immortals medical practice, the unveiling of the temple’s name plate 长春观chǎng chūn guān, temple of eternal spring, the ceremony for opening the light of 太上老君tài shàng lâo jūn statue, the enthronement of abbot 邱景威方丈 qiū jîng wēi fāng zhàng, a very touching ceremony to redime the lost souls and help them become free of suffering, during this evening there was a series of cultural events such as traditional Mexican dance, Coatlicue’s story told within a traditional folk dance. On top there were daoist conferences and harmonic moments all over the dragon’s mountain venue.
The vibrant rejoice of all attendants was noticeable, like a warm embrace while the peaceful respect for this environment was also there. The activities ended with the certainty that both Mexico and China are knitting a bond that grows stronger by the day. By the hand of our newly named 方丈 fāng zhàng, ninth all over the world and first one outside China, the teachings of Daoism will continue to flow like a serene river, impregnating our existence with its eternal wisdom.
